Mr. Mayle.

I discussed this with you today and told you of my discussions with the Air Ministry. The Air Ministry thought that if the case for priority was sufficiently strong they could probably get about 50 of these policemen to Singapore within a week and the remainder on the flying boat service to Hong Kong. If you agree that they may go this way I would propose to write to the Air Ministry as in the flimsy attached opposite. I have already signed the letter and if you agree it can be sent off, but I should be glad to have the file back in order that my Department may make the necessary detailed arrangements.
